How Our Lighting System Design Process Looks Like

Let’s take a look at our lighting system design process.

First, we will have a discussion with you to understand a full picture of your lighting ideas, in terms of colors, lighting scenes, and functionality.

Second, we shall go to site, take measurements, complete our estimate checklist to have full details about the project.

We may also request drawings or blueprints from you to help cover any missing holes for a full lighting system design.

After we have all the information, we will start our lighting system design process.

1. Roughing in our lighting layouts This will help us get the accurate measurement lengths of each strip light, which is the most important step for us that determines the remaining links in the design. Once we get the measurement, we will do our power calculations, programming calculations if required, to complete a functional lighting system design.
   

2. Creating a 2D rendering A picture worths a thousand words. It applies perfectly to our design. We all agree that it would be really nice to see some after-install lighting effect on a 2D rendering so we can understand what we are seeing, not just by saying or our discussion.
   

3. Getting an estimate The final step is to get an estimate to you so you can understand how much the project costs.
   

With rough-in lighting layouts, we will help you understand how the system will be installed and connected. With 2D rendering, we will help you understand how your lighting system will look like on your business or property. In the end, with estimate, we will help you understand how the project will cost from start to finish.

Once you agree all the aforementioned and would like to move forward, we will place an order of your lights to our manufacturer so they can start the production. In the meantime, we will rough in our electrical and get the prep work done at the site. Once the light arrives, we will only need to install them in and they will be functional.

Once the install is completed, an inspection will be conducted to verify all the new electrical installs. We will finish our As-Built as an O&M document and send it to you for your documentation. Last but not least, if there is a required training on the new lighting system in terms of programming and scene changing, we will book a time with you for this training so in the end, you will be knowing in and out of your lighting system.
