What is our Lighting Control System?

Lighting Control System is simply what it is called, it is a system that controls lighting.

Well, it cannot be as short as such. It must be more than what it is called.

Yes, it is more than what it is called, and there are a few different applications where this terminology is used.

When referring to a Lighting Control System, normally people would immediately think of the system that controls the interior lighting in space of a building, warehouse, or a property. This is true because it refers to the necessary lighting that provides enough light in a space that serves people, you know, help people see.

However, our Lighting Control System is a complete different one from what we are usually thinking of.

It all started off many decades ago. When shows or stages became one of the most important entertainments, lighting and audio for them came into fruition. This field of entertainment have become so popular that the technology about lighting at that time was not able to keep up with the demand. Therefore, people decided to invent a new definition of protocols used just within this particular field. It is called Digital Multiplex, or so-called DMX.

So what is DMX? We will have a post covering this topic as it has so many details. For now, let’s get back to our definitions of Lighting Control System.

With DMX, entertainment or stage lighting controls have become so much easier to implement as people only needed to access to only one point of control board to manipulate the whole stage lighting effects. It has been so great that it is still being used in most of stage and entertainment lighting till this date.

This popular protocol has also spread out to other areas of entertainment lighting, such as interior lighting or exterior lighting. This is where our terminology kicks in.

Our Lighting Control System is actually Entertainment Lighting Control System. It refers to entertainment lighting that could be interior or exterior, with its purpose of drawing attention and attracting people. It is the same purpose of stage lighting that has been existing for many decades.

However, the only difference is that entertainment lighting attracts people to increase your foot traffic and hence potentially increase your business revenues. It is also aligned with our main goal of every business that we serve.
